Tool steel for hot work is characterized by its excellent properties at high temperatures, for example high thermal conductivity, long tool life, crack resistance and high toughness and strength when heated. Typical areas of use for the tools from this steel are aluminium die-casting, hot extrusion, die forging, tube manufacturing or glass processing.
